I am beyond thrilled to share with you all Nicole and Jacob’s Cheesman Park engagement session. From the moment I met Nicole at our in-person consultation, I knew that we would be a great fit. Her bubbly personality and easy-going vibe made her so easy to connect with. We even were both wearing the same outfit when we showed up to our meeting (white sweater, black skinny jeans, and black ankle boots…a classic!).
When Nicole and I began discussing engagement session locations, she brought up the amazing idea to do part of the engagement session as an at-home session. She said that her and Jacob really feel connected to this apartment, and it’s the first place where they have truly felt at home as a couple. Little did she know at the time that she and Jacob would be proud new puppy parents to Sir Winston Black! He’s probably the cutest little pug you’ll ever meet.
Now for a little backstory on Nicole and Jacob. They met their freshman year at the University of Iowa. They lived on the same floor in their dorm freshman year, and initially were just neighbors. After Jacob made a comment to a mutual friend about Nicole, Nicole took this as her chance to see if their relationship could be anything more than a friendly hello in the hallway. Six years of dating later, it’s safe to say that Nicole and Jacob are more than just dorm neighbors!
Nicole and Jacob, I absolutely loved getting to know you two better at your engagement session. The session went by so fast because it felt like we were three friends hanging out, not a couple and a photographer meeting together for the first time for photos. I cannot wait for your wedding this September!
