Would you believe me if I told you that this engagement session spot is just seconds away from the highway?! Margo and Stephen took photos at perhaps one of the most accessible secret spots just off of I-70. Their Officers Gulch engagement session was truly a hidden oasis.
When planning this engagement session, Margo wanted a location that was quintessential Colorado – mountain views, aspen trees, possibly an alpine lake. After searching through my engagement location resources, I discovered Officers Gulch, a quaint spot just off of I-70 near Frisco, Colorado. After seeing photos from this spot, I knew we had a winner!
Margo and Stephen were so much fun at their engagement session, and I loved getting to know them throughout our time together. There is a lot of downtime during an engagement session. It isn’t constant photos! There’s a lot of walking to different areas at a location, testing out the lighting and such. During these walks, I truly want to get to know my couples. What do they do for fun on the weekends, what hobbies do they have, etc. The better I know my couples, the better I’m able to serve them leading up to their wedding day.
Part of the reason why I think this engagement session with Margo and Stephen was so enjoyable was because Margo and Stephen came into the session with such great attitudes! Margo’s brother recently just went through the wedding planning process, so he and his wife have been a wealth of information for these two. Margo’s sister-in-law suggested to bring some wine to the engagement session, and that’s honestly such a wonderful idea! If you’re a little nervous about an upcoming session, one way you can lighten the mood is to add some happy hour elements to the evening!
