When two people love each other like Alicia and Patrick, it’s impossible not to capture photos filled with pure joy and emotion. Their Roswell River Landing wedding was one filled with family and friends eager to celebrate the love of this wonderful couple.
Alicia and Patrick met how a lot of my wedding couples meet these days in the modern era – online dating. Early in their dating history, they learned that they both have a passion for running. Date nights were soon traded in for long morning runs, as these two became both best friends and training partners.
Patrick soon proposed after Alicia’s first half marathon in Savannah, Georgia. He had it all set so that he would get down on one knee right after Alicia raced across the finish line, with a professional photographer waiting to capture the celebratory race picture!
Alicia and Patrick’s wedding at Roswell River Landing was as thoughtful and meaningful at the proposal. Every detail Alicia chose from the centerpieces to her jewelry encompassed hers and Patrick’s loving relationship. I think of the more memorable parts of the day was the priest’s welcome at the ceremony. He took the time to write a poem about Alicia and Patrick’s love story, of how they met and their journey to the altar. For all of you those out there currently planning your wedding, I highly recommend having a priest who will write you a poem for your memory day!
Their beautiful, outdoor ceremony overlooking the river transitioned into cocktail hour where the drinks flowed and family and friends mingled. Alicia and Patrick had beautiful pillows custom-made for the cocktail hour patio area, with their names and wedding date inscribed. They even had custom cornhole boards made for the evening!
From cocktail hour to the reception, guests nourished themselves with delish barbecue food. Toasts were made, and tears were shed celebrating the newly married couple. Our bride and groom danced and mingled the night away with their beloved guests.
Alicia and Patrick, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day. I wish you two the best as you embark on the journey of marriage, filling each day with joy, laughter, and love!
