Today I am bringing you along with me to Kayla and Gary’s Vail Winter Engagement Session. In the middle of Colorado’s bizarre two-week avalanche season, Kayla and Gary drove from Utah to Vail to visit some of their dear friends. We decided months prior that this would be the perfect time to take their engagement photos. Little did we know that there would be so much snow!
Vail Village might just be one of my favorite places in all of Colorado. The architecture and cobblestone streets remind me of a quaint Swiss village in the Alps. Walking though the village makes me feel as though I’m on a European vacation!
For Kayla and Gary’s engagement session, we walked to some of my favorite photography spots near Vail Village. We stopped by my favorite bridge by the Interfaith Chapel, we weaved around skiers heading to après, and we popped champagne at the base of Gondola One. We took photos until the snowfall changed from a light dusting to a complete shower, leaving us soaking wet.
Kayla and Gary, I cannot wait for your Mexico wedding in just a few months! The beautiful beach ceremony sure will be a stark contrast to this winter engagement session!
